Coach Kimble graduated from Jersey High in 1993. During his high school career he was a three-year letter recipient in varsity soccer, played junior varsity and intramural basketball, and was a four-year letter recipient in track. In addition, he was a member of the JCHS band, member of the French club and Drama club, and was very active in his church youth group.
After high school, he attended colleges at Lewis and Clark Community, Spurgeon Baptist Bible College, and earned his Bachelors of Science degree from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville. He is currently employed as a high school English teacher and varsity girls soccer coach at Jersey Community High School.
Coach Kimble is married to his high school sweetheart and they have three feisty boys they are trying to raise.
Although Coach Kimble did not play soccer in college, his love for the game continued to grow. As his children showed interest in the sport, he transitioned to the coaching sideline. He coached for the Jerseyville Parks and Recreation Department for six years, often times two teams simultaneously. In addition, he assisted with the Jerseyville Strykers Soccer Club for four years before taking over as the manager of the club. Since 2007 he has built the club into a competitive organization with seven additional coaches and five teams as they participate in the Southern Illinois Soccer League.
Coach Kimble is a "D" Licensed coach with the United States National Team Curriculum. As he coaches the high school girls, he emphasizes individual skills and promotes a possession-minded, attacking approach to the game. To date, he has coached over four hundred youth and high school soccer players in the Jerseyville area.
